Oreck XL Vaccuum Cleaner

I have experienced using the Oreck XL in my place of work. We used to use these vaccuums. They would work great for a little bit and then they would ultimatly break. One of the biggest problems we had with them is that they went through belts like crazy, even though that is a problem that is easily fixed, it became an annoyance and an expense when we had to constantly keep fixing the vacuum cleaner when we were in the middle of using them.

We didn't use them heavily, just a carpeted area that was roughly 5'x5' and 3 other rugs around our register areas in the store. The pro's with these vacuums were that they are very light weight and easy to move around and carry to anywhere you needed to bring them to. The vaccuums did work very well when they were working, they picked up everything they needed to, even during the winter months when they were used to pick up the stubborn sand that was brought into the store on peoples shoes from the parking lots. We did use these vaccuums on a daily basis, I just expected them to not have as many problems as they did due to the fact Oreck is a very respectable name in the vaccuum industry.

I would have recommended the vaccuums to people if we hadn't had the problems with them as they did work very well at times, but for the simple fact that they always were breaking, I wouldn't feel right telling people to purchase this item.
