I Took the Dyson Challenge

Vacuum cleaners have never lasted long in my home, and I have often been frustrated by their heftiness, gradual decrease in suction power, and the ongoing need to purchase bags. And then there was always the problem of a million and one attachments that I had to remember to fish out of the closet whenever I wanted to switch from vacuuming the traffic areas versus the crevices.
When my husband bought our Dyson DC07 Animal, it amazed us from the get-go with its strength and endurance! It was over $400, but well worth it. It came with attachments that stayed on, with the main wand able to extend without the need for separate tubes to attach when vacuuming crevices somewhat out of reach (though it does come with a spare if I truly do need one). The fact that it is an upright bagless and filterless vacuum not only saves the hassle and time, but money as well. The canister is removable with the press of a button, and all you have to do is hold it over a trash can and squeeze a trigger to open the bottom and empty the dust. Overall, the vacuum is pleasing to the eye in gray and purple - and is ergonomically designed with handles that are easy to grip and the vacuum itself is not too heavy to lift or push.
What I like most about this vacuum is that it really cleans like nothing else. After using it for the first time, the carpet was practically another color - proving that our carpets had not been as clean as we thought they were. It has now been over 2 years, and our Dyson vacuum is just as good as when we bought it. We've had no problems with it, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a good value for your money.
