If you think German manufacturing expertise is limited to automobiles, you are wrong. With a long history of excellence, Miele has brought German excellence to the vacuum cleaner, as I have found out. What attracted me to the Miele brand at first (besides their awesome reputation) was their filtration system. I have children with allergies in my house and every vacuum I’ve tried ended up causing dramatic irritations to them. Even though it has great suction propelled by it’s powerful vortex motor, it traps all the dust inside (unlike most vacs). Now I can keep house without worrying about hurting the kids. This kind of perfection and peace of mind is worthy of the price I paid for the unit.
I have a Callisto Galaxy model made by Miele and it is superb in ways other than its filtration. I have a rug with unusually high pile and it handles it very well. On top of all that, I have to mention that this unit is quiet. You know how loud most vacuum cleaners are (Seems to be that the cheaper they are, the more noise they make), but this one is the exception. It purrs like a kitty cat! You can actually talk on the phone while vacuuming and have a meaningful conversation: it’s unreal!
My unit came with all the accessories I’m ever going to need AND it comes with a 7 year warranty. The unit is so solid though, I do not expect to ever need to make a warranty claim. This vacuum is the best I’ve ever had and I will never have a different brand ever again!
