Dyson 24 Is a Breeze to Use

I recently bought a Dyson Vacuum Cleaner, model DC24 All Floors. Overall, the vacuum is great. It is extremely lightweight, only about 12 pounds, which makes it an excellent choice for carrying around a home like mine that has two stories plus a basement. It is compact enough that it can be used on stairs without needing any attachments, and it maneuvers into small spaces easily. Both carpet and hard floors are cleaned very well. There are no bags or filters to buy which is a great feature. The dirt cup is easy to empty and doesn’t require getting your hands dirty. The filters are washable and only need to be cleaned every other month. The vacuum cleaner is also fairly quiet during operation.
There are a couple of small things which I do not like about the vacuum cleaner. It has a large wand which attaches to the hose for cleaning hard-to-reach spaces, but I find it awkward to use. The only other attachment it comes with is a small brush, which I have not found a good use for yet. Another minor issue is that the brush roll always defaults to the “on” position when the vacuum is turned on, regardless of the last setting used. Because most of my home has hard flooring, I find it a bit annoying to always have to turn the brush roll off when starting up the cleaner. However, I am pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend the Dyson brand.
