I found the Oreck to be everything it was said to be. It is super light weight and amazing power and suction for its size. It did require a little assembly upon delivery but it was nothing other than snapping the hose on and clicking the bag in. I have had it for a few months now and the suction is the same as it was when I first put it together and clean my apartment. This vacuum cleaner is easy to use with great maneuverability and gets under mostly everything, and gets the rest with the hose. The only con I would have to say I have with the Oreck is when the load gets about 3/4’s way full the motor gets a little loud and sounds like it has a little trouble. The suction is lost a little but nothing to make me upset with the machine. Everything else about the machine makes up for it. If you had a bad back like me logging around the other bulkier vacuums can actually cause a little pain. This machine I just feel like I’m pushing and since I started using it I get no lower back pain while vacuuming. Sounds pathetic, I know, but it is very true. Overall the oreck reviews were right and it was worth the price which isn’t too bad and maintenance on it is simple. Cleaning it take maybe several minutes and is almost never needed.
